About us
Ara Karar is a decision library that offers Court of Cassation and Council of State decisions compiled from open sources free of charge, with full text, citation details and permanent links. For members, it adds semantic search, saving and export tools.
What we do
- Decision library
- We publish over 11 million decisions of the Court of Cassation, the Council of State, the Constitutional Court, regional courts of appeal and first-instance courts, with full text, citation details and a permanent, citable link. Every decision has a citation text you can copy with one click; you can use it in petitions and academic work.
- Search
- Full-text search by keyword, docket/decision number and subject; narrow down by chamber and year. The first 50 results require no membership. Members also use semantic search, which finds similar decisions when they describe the case in their own words.
- Legislation
- Search laws, decrees, regulations and communiqués by title and content; new legislation published in the Official Gazette appears at the top of the list.
- Tools
- 80 free petition templates: lawsuit, response, procedural, request and objection petitions; fill in the blanks on the page and download them as Word or UDF. If a template doesn't fit the case, members use the precedent-based AI petition engine: you describe the facts and your request, the precedents closest in meaning among over 11 million decisions and the statutory articles they rely on are found, the petition is written accordingly, and decision numbers are verified automatically. Also free UDF ↔ Word and UDF ↔ PDF converters (no sign-up required, they run in your browser) and 12 calculators: attorney's and mediation fees, severance pay (kıdem tazminatı), notice pay and employee receivables, court fees and cost advance, enforcement and land registry fees, statutory and periodic interest, inheritance share, self-employment receipt, vehicle depreciation and sentence enforcement period. Members can save decisions, keep their search history and, with a plan, export to Word / UDF.
What we don't do
- Legal advice
- We don't provide it. Ara Karar is a library; for a specific dispute, consult your lawyer.
- Interpreting decisions
- We don't interpret or summarize decisions, and we don't produce legal opinions. We present the text, citation details and link as they are.
- AI answer
- The AI answer is generated only from the decisions found by the search and the statutory articles those decisions rely on; the source of every finding is shown. It is not a legal opinion — the decisions' own text prevails.
Data sources
- Decisions
- Court of Cassation and Council of State decisions are compiled from open sources. The texts are not altered; citation fields (chamber, docket and decision number, date) are reproduced as they appear in the source.
- Legislation
- Laws, decrees, regulations and communiqués published in the Official Gazette; they open as text or PDF.
- Updates
- New decisions and legislation are added at regular intervals. If you spot an error in a decision, report it along with its link, and we'll fix it.
